This Week In Dodgeball: Kickin’ It Old School

josh-wild

Week four. Pepe’s Cheese Bitches are holding steady in a 3-way tie for third fifth place, I stand corrected. Even if ‘Games For’ (the GF column in the standings) was the deciding factor (it’s not) we’d have been in fourth place at best as there were still three teams with better records. In reality, points (which directly correlate to number of matches won) are used to determine place. Each match consists of 3 games. Whichever team wins 2 of those 3 games wins the match and is awarded 3 points. Don’t you feel smarter already?

Tonight we face off against our buddies the Midnight Sausage Bandits at 7:45pm. Fifteen minutes later the Bitches go head to head with the Ball Breakers.

Winter ‘08 Dodgeball Standings - Week 3

The two teams are both smack dab in the middle of the pack with three wins and three losses each. Can Pepe’s Cheese Bitches prevail? Check back soon to find out.

[UPDATE]
This season continues to be an uphill battle for the Cheese Bitches. Only six members of the team were available to play this week, which meant no subs. Compounding the issue, our matches were back to back so rest was not an option. Given these factors, the results were predictable.

After losing the first game to the Midnight Sausage Bandits, Pepe’s Cheese Bitches came from behind to take the match 2-1. They carried this momentum over to the second match, besting the Ball Breakers in the first game. Unfortunately exhaustion set in, and though they battled, the Bitches fell, losing the match 2-1. In spite of the split, Pepe’s remains in a tie for 5th place with the REIT Stuff.
