Apple Hearts Linkin Park, Keep it Secret, Keep it Safe

AppleInsider reports that Linkin Park will be performing at a “secret” show in New York City and Apple is involved. The band is already scheduled to be in Manhattan for a performance at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, February 21st (sorry folks, it’s sold out). Perhaps the provider of New York City’s favorite laptops, iPhones, etc. thought they could get a discount while the boys were in town.
From Mike Shinoda’s blog (he’s a member of Linkin Park if you’re not hip to what the kids are listening to):
in other news, we’re in the middle of the tour with coheed and cambria and chiodos. it’s going great—those guys put on a great show. looking forward to our first show at madison square garden this week (sold out)! also, look forward to a special show that we’re doing in NYC in conjunction with apple…shh…it’s a secret…
Details of the event are slim, and it’s not clear if the performance is for a private corporate event, a public performance or a rumored Apple event to announce new products. Ideas anyone? Personally I hope they’re finally releasing the long-awaited (by me) iMouseTrap. I just can’t get rid of these buggers.

[UPDATE]
Turns out the event was a private performance at the Soho Apple Store for 200 lucky radio contest winners. The six song set consisted of “Wake”, “Given Up”, “Shadow of the Day”, “My December”, “In Pieces” and “Bleed It Out”. For those of you who weren’t so lucky, the show was recorded and should be hitting iTunes in March.

Is that the actual apartment mouse? Aww, it’s so cute! Give it a name! He’ll be so fun to eventually murder.
That is one of the apartment mice - baby mouse. Sadly, in that photo he is dead or in the process of dying - I don’t recall which. The day before he was playing in the living room, just having a good time.
The morning I took this photo I watched him lay there, in what turned out to be his final death throes. His breathing heavily labored, finally he rolled over onto his back, his feet shooting into the air like you might see in a cartoon.
I presume he got into some poison in one of the neighbors apartments. I don’t dig on the cruelty to animals, even mice, so I have come to accept my new mice overlords. Baby mouse’s mom, dad, sisters and brothers are the one’s plaguing me these days.
Know where I can get a good, non-lethal mouse trap?
